Stash Report Week 48

UGH!!! I just spent about an hour and a half loading and trying to quilt a quilt. First, I had problems trying to load the quilt because the backing fabric was cut pretty crookedly. Once I got all of that finished, I tried to use a spool of YLI thread. I got halfway across the top edge to hold the top and batting in place and the needle broke into a bunch of pieces. I think that I found them all, but I am pretty sure that this threw the timing or something off in the machine because it started skipping stitches. So I gave up on quilting and I will be taking the machine in this week.

This week was pretty productive as far as prepping projects. I have 2 quilts cut out, placemats, pillowcases and an over mitt. Now, I just have to start sewing!

And I only bought a little bit of fabric this week. I am sure at this rate that I can get to 200+ yards used for the year! Woo!

Fabric added this week: 4.00
Fabric added year-to-date: 335.06

Fabric used this week: 19.74
Fabric used year-to-date: 196.53

Net Fabric Used: -138.53

Sorry to hear about the machine...hope it is an easy cleaning/repair and it will be back home soon. Great progress on your stash this week!

You're so close! With four weeks left, you surely can use up at least one yard a week.

Sometimes it's best to walk away from the machine for a while. Hopefully you can get it purring again soon.

I wish I was close enough to run over and see if I could help. I KNOW we could get it going.

At least it sounds like you can relax about it. Me, not so much. I never want to give up on the fix!

Do you go back to work tomorrow? Where did those extra days go this week?
Have a great Sunday!

My machine hates YLI thread. It always plays up whenever I even think about using it.
I hop it's nothing major with the machine

Love and hugs GIna xxx

as much as I like YLI thread colors, I always seem to have problems. the last three quilts--first two the same YLI varigated. Breaking. Tension. Frustration. The next quilt--Signature thread--worked perfectly. Maybe it's me, but I seem to quilt much easier with Signature thread!
