Relaxing day

After trying to get the stash room in order yesterday and floundering a little in all that fabric, I got a lot of emails and comments from fellow quilters to not give up on the room! I even had offers to allow me to clean up their stash. My response to that was, "Ummmm.... PASS!!" It will be enough for me to get mine in order! lol

Today, I have been enjoying the last day off of the holiday season. I have done a little laundry, killed a mouse (FINALLY!!!!), went through a little paperwork, watched TV, read blogs, answered emails and played with the dogs a little.

Between all of this excitement, I have been wandering into the stash room and doing little things. I moved UFO's between containers to free more space for scraps. I folded most of the remaining fabric. I just have the Fat Quarters left to refold now. Woo!!

I have also been looking through my quilt books and patterns and thinking that I have quite a few patterns that will work with all this fabric!

And soon! Very soon!!! I will be able to take new pictures of all of this folded fabric and the 'new' things that I found and post them here. Prepare to be jealous! I'm very excited about it!! Most is pre-blog! lol

Now, it's time for dinner and then I am going to spend some quality time watching TV and cuddling with the pups while sorting through my scraps! And tomorrow nigh is my first sock class!! I'm very excited! I already have my supplies in my sock bag ready to go!

Hey Jill! You're doing great, doing a little at a time. And sorting those quilt mags will help as well. I recently rearranged my area and even managed to divide an concur all my colors of fabrics. Happy New Year!

Sounds like a nice day to me. We converted a desk to a sewing table, I folded some laundry, spent some time in the kitchen making stuff for the week (tea, boiled eggs, etc)...you know all that fun stuff. I'm heading for bed soon so I can begin another week of work. You have a great week too!
be blessed,
Michelle

Glad to hear you made more progress yesterday. I can't wait to see the pictures of your stash.

Have fun at your sock class. BTW, I see those interchangeable needles are on sale online, plus free shipping and you could probably use the 20% coupon if you got one.
