Design Wall Monday, 7/19

Yesterday, I was able to work on a few more Bento Box blocks and I sewed 1 strip set for my neighbor's quilt. I need to make 17 strip sets!

I sewed the set together in the manner that Barb, KT and I had picked, but it didn't look right so I had to unsew rows 4 and 5 and reverse them. I think that they work really well now. It's 6 fabrics from white to black. This quilt is going to look really cool!! Once I get the 17 sets together.

After I got the set all set up, the pups and I celebrated National Ice Cream Day!!

Yum, ice cream day! Your blocks do look very cool. :) Can't wait to see the finished project. And the doggies are sweet, too! Take care, Dianne B. in England

Blocks are looking good - and dang, that's a lot of strip sets! Easy, but boring sewing! We also celebrated national ice cream day here - thanks for your fb post to remind me :)

Looks like your doggies are enjoying their ice cream. How did I miss out on National Ice Cream Day? Maybe I need to celebrate a day late. LOL I love those blocks. I really must make one of these, when I get caught up. Winona

Is that the reason I had an ice cream sandwich yesterday? Oh and the day before? lol

You are right about looking COOL--what wonderful color arrangement and you have a lucky neighbor. OK, maybe you are lucky to have the neighbor, but he's getting paid really well when paid by quilt.

For national ice cream week (I didn't know it was that!), I was voted NEATEST ICE CREAM CONE eater by a lady at Culver's here in Superior WI! This goes with my title of Limbo Queen of South Florida awarded to me in 1979! I don't know if I can handle all this celebrity status!!!
