Friday accomplishments

Well, there isn't much to list out for today! I got the last green, clover fabric baby quilt quilted and I will be happy to never have to look at it again! lol I was going to use the Popcorn Panto on it, but couldn't find the panto. I am now wondering if I even got it, but I am so sure that I bought it... Oh well... I found a Golden Threads one from my packs and just used that.

I used a white thread on this because I wanted to see how it would look on busy and colored fabric. I am planning on using a white thread on the quilt for Regina. There is a fair amount of white space on her and I didn't want the panto of fish to be so "in your face" with a colored thread on the white. I am thinking that it will work - my eye can't seem to look away from the clovers and girls on this fabric.

Pictures of the back... I can't decide if this is the panto that I want to use for my SIS quilt though. It is like a flower with a leaf, but the leaf is a little off. I just had my heart set on the popcorn panto, I guess.

And here is the book that the pattern is from. I had to show it tonight because so many of you seemed to need to know what it is. :)

And a better picture of the blocks laid out.

And finally, my little bug catcher! This fly had just gotten into the house and was flying around like crazy. Apparently, it got to close to Max and he bit it and spit it out several times. Thank you, Maxie!!!

Bummer on not finding/having the Popcorn panto....guess you'll just have to buy it!

The Golden Threads panto turned out good.

Thanks for posting about the book....another one I don't have.

Way to go Max! The boys have been eating flies here too.

Looks like you are getting lots done. The black and white blocks look great. Bummer about the popcorn panto, I hate it when I am sure I have bought something and then can't find it. I've got duplicates of a couple of rulers I was sure I already had.

I so hope you find Popcorn! I have and it will become a favorite I can tell. It quilts up quickly and people I have quilted it for really like it. You will find it...as soon as you go looking for something else! I have been struggling with organizing my quilting patterns. Not the pantos..but books, pieces of paper I have pulled out of magazines with snippets of ideas...and things I have sketched out or resized. Guess I need a filing system! My Buddy alerted me to a scorpion about a month ago! He got an extra treat for THAT! Good job on the quilting...

JILL GREAT WORK AS ALWAYS. LOOK AGAIN FOR THE POPCORN YOU MIGHT HAVE OVER LOOKED IT. THE QUILTING LOOK GOOD ON THE SAMPLE YOU SHOWED, BUT I KNOW HOW IT IS WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR HEART SET ON SOMETHING AND HAVE TO USE SOMETHING ELSE. I STILL LIKE THE BLOCKS YOU SHOWED. GOOD MAXIE, MY CAT DOES THE SAME THING. SOMETIMES WITH SPIDERS ALSO. MY BROTHERS DOGS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FLY CATCHERS. ONCE ONE OF THEM GOT A BEE. HE STOPPED FLY CATCHING FOR A WHILE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I HAVE ABOUT 3 MORE SEAMS AND I WILL BE READY TO SET THE LAST 2 ROWS TOGETHER. NO SEWING TONIGHT, ITS MY EARLY BED NIGHT. HAPPY SEWING

HOLLLLLAAAA!
Looks good :)
I can't believe you would buy something and not be able to find it. I would NEVER do something like that....like with a McCalls pattern...or something. I'm just sayin'
;)

Those black and white blocks look gorgeous! Very eye-catching! Don't worry about the Popcorn Panto, you'll find it when you start looking for something else you lost! At least, that's how it works in my world!

Thanks for the book info. I'll be buying that next time I'm on amazon.
Bet you find your popcorn panto right after you finish quiting your SIS quilt.
Stan is like Max with any flying bug. He'll attack wasps and bees aswell as flies. Even though he's been stung a few times it doesn't seem to stop him.

Love and hugs Gina xxx
