Design Wall Monday, 6/13

I finally got back to sewing this weekend! And I finished the UFO Challenge quilt top for February. A few months late, but better late than never. I have no plans for the backing at this point which is why I am considering this a finish for the UFO Challenge.

The pattern is Star Struck from Bonnie Hunter and I started the blocks in a class that I took from her in 2009.

I even finished the binding!

And a close up of the borders. I really like how the brown outer border makes the brown in the quilt pop!

And it's pup tested. Maisy kept curling up on it while I was working on the borders. I think they both approve of it!

Love the Star Struck pattern ( I plan to do it in red, white and blue one of these days) and love your fabric selection! My quilts always receive a cat scan from my kitty, Tigger, who feels it is necessary to inspect each quilt several times during construction.

Nice quilt! It is much easier for me to get to the binding on a quilt if I have made it in advance. I don't let my husband put one of my quilts in the frame until the binding is made.

That border is perfect! Good job sticking to the project. I just have the binding left for my Feb UFO...hoping to get it on this week.

Ohhh.....BEAUTIFUL fabrics used Jill! See, all that "non-stash-busting" last year is paying off (even though this was started in 2009) :0)

I took that class from her in 2009, too, but I haven't done anything with either the blocks or the jelly roll since. Maybe I need to get back to it since I really like how yours turned out. My plan was for a table topper but the way we live, I am now thinking of a set of placemats.

I love the colors in Star Struck... do I see correctly pink, red, chocolate and white? The pups look great on it!

Congratulations on the finish!

I remember seeing this when you were working on it. I think I love it even more. Perfect for a wedding gift. I just finished my May UFO this weekend. My April one is finished yet either...I haven't even pulled out my June one..UGH.

I love it - I am a big Bonnie Hunter fan. Where did you take your Star Struck class from her?

I love your colors!

Love your quilt. The colors are great. Seeing yours reminds me that I have an unfinished top hanging in my closet waiting to be finished.
