As I reported yesterday, I went shopping for some fabric at Joann's. It's been a while since I have done some serious shopping at Joann's, so I spent way too long in the store.
I got some blues for the next Scrap Squad quilt. Of course, once I got them out I remembered seeing some blues in a bin in my closet where my over flow of scraps is being stored. I will have to remember to go through those bins and pull out anything else that I might need for this quilt.
I also got the backing for the current Scrap Squad. I was hoping for a cut of the mottled green extra wide, but the stores that I stopped at were seriously lacking in their extra wide fabrics. This one will work, but the camera seriously washed the colors out. The green is a little brighter and there is almost a brownish hue in some parts.
And since I was wandering around for blues, I found this lovely Christmas print. I bought the rest of the bolt and 1.5 yards is for Barb.
I worked diligently on the current Scrap Squad last night and I only have 2 long seams and 2 very short seams left. I have figured out the best border option and I AM going to get this top finished today so that I can ship it off tomorrow. Also, I will be able to bust the backing, binding and border fabric for next week's report!
Maxie thinks I can do it!

That fabric is amazing. But this, I'm sure, comes as no shock to you. ;-)
Great finds on your little shopping spree! I bought some of that blue X fabric (3rd from right) when I bought backing for the t-shirt quilt. Now to figure out what to do with it.
