I was knitting diligently on my second sock in Stroll from Knit Picks when I got a rush quilting job in so I had to put the knitting away for a while.
I got a little more the foot done.
I am excited to finish this sock so that I can start on the next pair. I have downloaded and printed off 4 different patterns from the Ravelry site so that I can try my hand at cables and working with a chart.
Last week, Knit Picks announced their 2013 Spring Collection on their blog. They called it First Light and the patterns are available individually or as the collection. I absolutely fell in love with the Infinity Cardigan that can be seen here.
I went looking on Ravelry to see what I could find and I signed up for the Knit Along because I am going to make this sweater! There was a chance to enter for a copy of the collection and I entered it and I got an email this afternoon that I won!! I am so stoked!! I actually screamed out loud when I realized that I had won!
I think this is just a sign that I need to work on the next pair of socks in order to master the cabling and chart reading so I can start on this sweater as soon as I get the yarn. And my only real decision is to pick a color for the yarn!

Your socks are looking good. In fact, the color goes great with a lot of my wardrobe! lol Looking forward to seeing your other knitted items.
Love your socks! You are doing great on them. Congrats on the win... I have yet to try a cable stitch but smart to practice on something small before tacking that beautiful cardigan.
I love the look of that sweater! Um...I have TWO sweaters and a pair of socks started! I think I will see how YOURS goes and maybe get one of my projects DONE, before I commit to another knitting project. You are sweet to do that rush job on the quilts too. I probably would not have!
Woo hoo - always love winning!
So practice on your sweater and then I think I will commission one for me!!!! ;-)
You're so close to being done with your socks! Then you can practice cables!!!! Congrats on the win.
