Items received!

I got some packages in the mail this week! WOO HOO!!!!

Last week, I ordered a couple more Willow Leaf Studios pantos - these are mini pantos that have two 5" pantos on 1 roll. There are 6 or 9 total mini rolls and I could only decide on these two for now. Mini Ocean and Paisley in the first picture and Mini Ebb and Swirl in the second.

These are gonna be great!!!

I also ordered some Superior King Tut thread from Sew Thankful after I finished my SIS quilt with the crappy thread. Thankfully, it was on sale! Woo hoo!!! And there are 2 items that were back ordered so I am hoping that I get them within the next couple of weeks. I don't need them right away anyway.

And I got a GO! t-shirt from AccuQuilt. I am still waiting to win one the GO machines that are being given away all over blog land, but I'm sure that it will happen eventually with my awesome luck! ;)

I just can't decide what to work on tonight....

It looks like Maxie is having the same problem!

Beanies and a sore pup

A while ago, Regina, Calvin and I were awaiting packages in the mail at the same time. Calvin's was a beanie with a propeller so of course Regina and I referred to our packages as beanies. It has stuck with us. :)

Today, I had beanies in the mail box!!

My Aunt Donna sent me 2 quilt books as a thank you for the RV placemats and pot holder I sent her. Deanna suggested the Save the Scraps book on her blog a few months ago and the Schnibbles Times Two has been EVERYWHERE! I have been enjoying them all evening!

I also received my yardage that I found online of the border/binding fabric on the SIS quilt that I needed for the last of the binding strips. I'm still loving this fabric!

Now for the sore pup. Maxie has pulled the muscles in his back again and I have been drugging him up for the past day. Apparently, he has been sore for a couple of weeks and I had not realized it was this bad until last night. I had to break out the hard core meds for him and when I gave him one when I got home from work, he barfed it up about 10 minutes later.

I think that some knitting and cuddling time this weekend will go a long way to making it up to him! I think he wants me to start right now!

PS - Post 994 here!

A nice Christmas Eve

I had to work for a few hours today, but it was a very light day. We only had to be in the office for 4 hours!

When I left work, I ran a couple of errands and picked up this little guy. The mini mouse. It's very cute and the cord retracts. It took a little getting used to because of how small it is, but I like it!

When I got home, I had a package in the mail from Sue. I was excited to see what was in it because I was not expecting anything! It is a bag to carry needles and yarn for sock making - VERY CUTE!!! And a charm pack of the Civil War Homefront fabric that was in my Dear Santa letter. This is great!!! (But these fabrics look even better in person... I may actually have to buy myself the FQ bundle!!) Thanks so much, Sue!!! I LOVE IT!!!

The dogs and I went to Granma's house for dinner with my aunt and cousin. They were in rare form and ran for about 20 minutes straight. Now that we have been home for a while, they are snoring on the bed! And I am ready to do the same!! :)

Quiet, sewing weekend

Well, maybe not too quiet! Last night, I met Cathy and Linda at a local Mexican restaurant for dinner right after work. We stayed until 9! It was great just hanging out and chatting about everything under the sun! We definitely have plans to make this a regular event! :)

This morning, I ran to the post office and sent 3 packages with quilty items. Two were the Pay It Forward gifts that had to be mailed. They should be received by Tuesday's mail! Woo hoo!!

After that, I ran to the grocery store and filled up on lots since I hadn't been in a while. I decided to leave the dogs out of the cage since I didn't think that I would be gone too long. They were great dogs!! Still can't be trusted for a full day of work, but I think they can be good for short amounts of time. I even brought them home toys that they love!

They wore themselves out! Amazingly enough, Maisy looks very comfortable with her rear in the bed and her front on the floor!

Now, I think it's time for some lunch and then to play with some fabric! I just have to decide what to work on first... I have the whole weekend left to myself! Yes!!

The weekend

I'm so happy that it's finally Friday!! And I'm home from work and have had dinner already! I have been so busy this week that I have barely had time to breathe let alone sew. Monday, I stopped by the shop after work to pick up a couple of things and I chatted with Linda until almost 7. By the time I got home, I was pooped and just vegged with the dogs. Tuesday night was a Guild meeting and dinner with Barb and dessert with the gals afterwards. Wednesday night, I had a Board meeting for a different Guild and didn't get home until 9:45.

Last night, I had had enough! When I got home from work, I quickly sealed up two boxes, addressed them and rushed to the post office to get them mailed. I had to stop on my way back home and get more tape to seal up other boxes and envelopes. I ended up with 7 packages total!

This evening, I stopped by the post office and shipped the rest out! If you are expecting a package from me, it is on it's way!! Oh, and at least 1 is a surprise to the recipient! I hope you all enjoy!!

Once I got all of the boxes sealed up, I was able to clear away some more clutter from the family room and I am happy to say that it is now in order and ready for some quilting activities! Well, except for the dog toys strewn about.... If only I could get Max to play with only one toy until it's destroyed... Or teach him to put his toys away!!

Oh well, he's a sweetie so I will keep him!

Now, I am off to start trimming up some scraps and then cut some fabric!

I knew it!

I knew that I would forget something! I didn't make myself a list and something got left off my last post for the week in review. :(

I stopped at the post office last night and I mailed off 3 packages.

One to Kristie containing this and some goodies:

A package to Gina across the pond with this and some goodies:

And I sent one other package that is a surprise. Hopefully, when the recipient gets their package, they will post about it!

OK, now that was it. Today, I am meeting Cathy for breakfast at IHOP and we have our fingers crossed that they have pumpkin pancakes! Then, we are heading to Best Friends for class and possibly some shopping. After that, I am going to pick up Bubba, my machine, who has been in the shop for 2 weeks. Too long!

I should be posting some updates later today. I almost have all of the pieces cut for the Moon Pie quilt. I am very happy about this! Just the setting triangles left!

Packages ....

Are on their way to the recipients! When I left the house this morning to head out to the retreat, I had a few errands to run - deposits at the bank, books back to the library, and packages to the post office. I got 5 large envelopes and one flat rate box to mail. I wonder where they will end up....

While I was loading up the car. The dogs were going nuts. I figured that I would pull out the camera and show them off. They are very silly!

So, I am now at the retreat and we have had our dinner and I am trying to get to sewing, but I wanted to post what I could for now. Wish me luck on getting my projects accomplished! I plan on finishing some things up this weekend! :)
