Design Wall Monday, 10/4

I got a bit done this weekend so I figured that I would show it all off.

First, I finished the Bento Box quilt top.

Loaded a quilt for Shellie onto the frame and started quilting.

I'm doing a free hand holly leaf and berry design in the outer border, a double wavy line in the inner border and a tight stipple on the sashing and backgrounds on the quilt. I am almost done with the inside! Just 1 row of blocks left, but this has been a lot of moving the quilt forward and back to avoid the blocks and to keep from cutting the thread. A little tedious. Here is a close up of the stipple.

Then, tonight, I started assembling the black blocks for my neighbor's quilt. They are on my design wall right now and moving along!

I also started working on the Whimsy Split Decision as a leader and ender for these blocks. Woo hoo!!

I like the triangles, I think I need to try that one. Your quilting is very pretty. I have been trying to do some different quilting in different areas when I long arm and it is really a challenge, how do you do it?? I find I would have tons of threads to bury.

Congrats on getting some of the quilting done. I forgot all about the Whimsy project. You really need to get some done so you can work on Whimsy and granma's!

That's a "bit"? Wow, again you amaze me with your prductivity. I also like that you have so much variety in your work. The unpredictability keeps me interested. Thanks for sharing.
