I got quite a bit done on Sunday after going through my scraps and cutting the strip sets for the Radiant Star quilt.
I prepped my binders for the Super Secret Quilt and the Midget Mania blocks.
Then, I quilted the Bento Box quilt and attached the binding all by machine. I did bury the threads and hand stitched a label on. I am going to delivery it to a co-worker today.
I also made my first Midget Block - block #1, but I think that it is a little big. I thought that they were supposed to finish at 4" and this one is larger than that. I think that I am going to re-make the block using regular quilting methods and not paper piecing. As nice as the points are with the paper piecing, I don't think that grid ended up at the right size. I will have to look into it a little more.
Edited to add - The blocks should finish at 4.5" so I am OK with this blocks. I think that I will need to use the much thinner paper piecing paper to print out the paper pieced blocks. I had some issues with getting the paper off of this one when I was done sewing it.
My co-worker has a dog, too, and I thought that she would get a kick out of him sniffing the quilt for the smells from my dogs. They approved of the quilt and enjoyed rolling around on it a little.

The Bento Box quilt turned out great.
that turned out great! You are just rocking along...
The Bento Box is lovely!
I love bento boxes. And yes, dogs make everything better. Did you know that peopel who have dogs have 3 times less probablyity of having a heart attack, and if you do, 7 times the probability of surviving it??

Love the Bento Box quilt.
If you use a smaller stitch length that will help with paper removal. Also wetting the paper at the seam should work if you are still having problems.
Love and hugs Gina xxx
l love the accuracy of paper piecing. Give it a try again. It's not fun to remove the paper but it is easier with a smaller stitch length. To me the accuracy is well worth it.
I love that Bento Box quilt--after I did one that didn't mix them up I saw one like yours and now I want to try it. Yours has some really nice mixtures of different fabrics and the colors blend so well.
Bento Box looks great -- nice color choices. I may have to try one in those lovely browns... your dogs are cute.
That bento box turned out very nice. I like the brown and blue combo--they match the pups! I think they think you should keep the quilt for yourself ;-D
I LOVE that Bento Box, and all the colors in it. Your coworker will love it. If it isn't loved, just go ahead and ship it to ME!
Have a great week!
What a gorgeous quilt - I wouldn't mind rolling around on something like that, too!!! Blessings, Peg
Great projects. Good that you started the midgit blocks. I've been saving the patterns but haven't made a block yet.
I love the Bento Box. Perfect colors.
I actually printed my midget block - does that count??? I am still trying to figure out what fabrics I want to use on it. LOVE the Bento Box!!!
The midget block is darling! So are the dogs! :)
Love the Bento Box. I've been sorting fabric to do one with browns and creams. Yours gives me an idea how that will look.
Beautiful Bento Box quilt - especially love the color combination. Maisy and Max are adorable as always!!
I love the color choices you made for the Bento Box quilt. Your dogs are adorable :)
JILL YOU NEVER HAVE A DULL QUILT. I LOVE THIS ONE A LOT. I REALLY CANT WAIT TO MAKE ONE OF MY OWN USING THE FABRICS I TOLD YOU ABOUT. A LIGHTER PAPER AND SMALLER STICHES MIGHT HELP WITH THE PAPER PIECING...AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT I HAVE HEARD AT THE LQS...WOULDNT YOU JUST LOVE TO BE AT YOUR CO-WORKERS HOUSE WHEN HER DOG(S) SMELL YOUR DOGS JUST TO SEE HOW IT (THEY) REACT...HEY IF YOUR CO-WORKER DOESNT LIKE THE QUILT, I KNOW SOMEONE THAT WILL :D....LOL..HAPPY QUILTING..CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU MAKE NEXT.. MY HATS OFF TO YOU I WOULDNT EVEN TRY TO MAKE THAT SMALL OF BLOCKS.....
Paper Piecing *shudder*. That is one bridge I have not crossed and am not sure I want to.
Thought I posted this morning, but I guess not...the bento box looks great! Hope your co-worker loved it.
Beautiful Bento Box!!
Oh, your Bento Box is wonderful...I love it. You have definitely convinced me to make one scrappy. The pups like it too!

Love the Bento box! It's even prettier all finished than the other pictures. Wish I'd gotten to see in person all done!
