Stash Report Week 10, 2011

Or otherwise known as... "I hit the 20 yard busted mark!"

I wasn't sure whether I was going to after the drive home from Florida, but then I remembered that I had to send FQs in for a UFO Challenge. I got them packed up and mailed off yesterday. The funny thing about the challenge is that I enter, but if I won the prize of FQs, I would tell them to pick another name. Just playing along and getting some UFO's finished is enough for me!

Yesterday, I also spent some time cutting the dark pieces for Star Struck. Either my attention span was off or I was just bored with the cutting because it took me most of the afternoon and evening to get the darks all cut out. But once I started on the lights, I made pretty good progress. I still have a bit of the lights to cut out, but I am hoping to finish them this morning so that I can start sewing.

I have enough of the scraps for a quilt center that will measure 56 by 64. The darks and some of the lights are from a Moda line from a few years ago called Flirtations and I don't think that I would be able to find any of the fabric for borders. I'm considering finding a matching chocolate for a 2 or 3 inch border and the binding. Something very simple that wouldn't detract from the blocks.

I think that once I get the rest of the lights cut out, I can count the fabric as busted. I am going to draw the quilt up in EQ to get the fabric usage amounts.

Fabric added this week: 0.00
Fabric added year-to-date: 0.53

Fabric used this week: 1.00
Fabric used year-to-date: 21.32

Net Fabric Used: 20.79

I think that Maisy sees it as another quilt for her...

20+ yards!! Good for you! I do love those pinks and browns that you are using. I'm sure you will be able to find a brown that would match fine with it. Can't wait to see it all put together! That Maisy, she is so adorable! :)

I thought I had a FQ in the brown stripe, but I must've used it. Darn.

I can't wait to see how it all goes together!

Hooray for hitting 20 yards.

We might still have a few pieces of that fabric line in our shop. If you are interested in having some for a border I can bring it up in April. Just let me know. I can send you pictures of what is left if you want.
