Design Wall Monday - 9/24

I still can't show the Scrap Squad quilt on my Design Wall, but I worked on some other blocks yesterday to have something to show.

The Paris in the Fall BOM - blocks #2

These blocks are a little consuming because the instructions are not as well written as the instructions for blocks from the Fat Quarter Shop. I have to constantly revert to the cutting instructions to see what color the pieces are to make sure I have the right ones for each step.

I also pulled out some pieces for a very old UFO to use as leaders and enders and I have been making good progress on these as well. There are still 2 more strips of fabric to be added to each of these sections to make a finished block and the stack of fabric to make these units is slowly dwindling.

I also made Midget blocks, but those will wait until tomorrow's post. :)

I am linking up at Judy's blog, Sinta's blog and Lynette's blog.

I love those new blocks! I really love the fabrics in them. Can't wait to see more of this BOM. Using the other as a leader/ender is a great way to get it done. I have been making my bowties and they sure stack up quick doing them like this. I wasn't really sticking with making the bowties as I pieced but lately I have been sticking with it and not I am starting to get a good size pile.

Whoa -- those Paris in the Fall blocks are gorgeous!! Well worth the extra effort, at least from the onlooker's point of view! :)

I love the Paris block! you nailed it! I'd love a quilt with just that block in different colors.

Jill those BOM blocks are so pretty. Cant wait to see the finished quilt top. Using the lower ones as beginning and ending pieces is a good idea to get rid of another ufo. Can't wait to see what that one is also. Happy Quilting! How many more days until retreat?

Your Paris blocks are gorgeous! This is going to be a stunning quilt and worth every bit of the labor you are putting into the blocks!!!

What a contrast between the two different blocks. I like working on things that are so different. And I know what you mean about doing something so you have something to show. This year my two Christmas quilts are for people who never read a blog so I could show them but usually I have to hide a lot of what I am doing. ;-)

Hi, Jill :) Your Paris in the Fall blocks are beautifully pieced. I also love the fabrics in your UFO-turned-leaders/enders project. They're so cheery!
