Stash Report Week 52A, 2012 and Week 1, 2013

Last week was a very productive week for my stash busting! Before the new year, I got the binding made and the border cut and attached to the last Scrap Squad quilt. Here is the binding.

I also realized that I forgot to count any of the fabric that I had cut for step one of the Easy Street mystery. So that was added in to the 2012 total.

This is where I was when I stopped sewing on New Year's Eve.

For the last few years, I haven't done so well on busting and I am happy to report that this is my first year ending in the black! I resisted all year end clearance sales and didn't add any fabrics in the last few weeks that were not for specific projects! Woo hoo!!

And so far in 2013, I have busted more fabric on Easy Street! I am currently sewing up Step 3.

Friday night, Lula got under foot and I stepped on her paw. After a trip to the vet, we found out it's not broken, but she has been in pain and limping ever since so she has been getting some special treatment. While I was stitching last night, I put her in the chair and rolled her close to my stool and she slept. I think she enjoyed being so close to me while I worked.

Oh, poor Lula...spoinling her is OK though! But Buddy says she needs a quilt over her...LOL. Looks like fun over at your place...

That is just great that you finished last year in the black and started this year the same way! Whoop whoop! Hope Lula is on the mend soon - I bet Maisy is just out of this picture gloating!

Your Easy Street is going to be so pretty! Sorry about Lula! So glad it's not broken. I can't tell you how many times Speck gets under my feet and I about break my neck to try to keep from stepping on him. After a few times of being stepped on, you'd think he would learn to watch out just a little for his own safety. Don't you just feel awful when they're under the weather.
