I'm back....

Sorry for this second break this year. I really have no excuses other than just not feeling like myself. There have been some things going on in my life ... some I will gladly discuss and some that I will keep to myself so that they can't be used against me by anyone.

I didn't have the energy or the desire to do much of anything over the summer except to sleep and watch some mindless TV. I discussed it with my doctor and I had a couple of chats with a close friend who has a lot of experience with depression in her family. I took the advice of my doctor and the suggestions from my friend and started making some small changes and I felt a huge difference within a couple of weeks. And making those changes led to a couple of other things happening and I really started to feel like myself again.

Since then, I have been trying to catch up on everything. House work and reading and quilting, quilting, quilting. It's amazing the back log that is created when you only sleep and watch TV for a few weeks!

There have been some small changes and some big changes at the house and I am pretty happy with everything so far. Some deep cleaning of the house in preparation for summer guests led to multiple trips to the dumpster and Goodwill and some purchases and rearranging. My family room feels like an entirely new room and it's been a great way to get a bit of new perspective on a daily basis! I still have a few areas to go through and organize, but I am not in the almost frenzied state that I was a couple of months ago when I felt like I was trying to find something.

I have some quilt retreats coming up in the next few weeks and I am really looking forward to getting away and spending some concentrated time on piecing and projects that I have going on.

Things at work haven't really slowed down, but I am finding it easier to keep a work/home balance and work isn't taking over anymore. :)

I have a lot of pictures to show and will have to start posting when I get them all organized. They are mostly still on my camera since the laptop has only been turned on a handful of times since the beginning of July.

I hope you stick around to see what happens next!

Glad you are feeling better. I've been there and after a doctors visit and some medicine (which I forgot to take this morning oops) things are much more manageable. Hope you have found a workable solution for you so you can enjoy life again. Hugs.
