And soon to be hanging in a show!
This week, I prepped the backing and got the Ohio Star quilt on the frame. I have been working on quilting it the last couple of nights. I really want to get it done tomorrow because the quilting is very boring to me. And I am not that far along. But also because I want to get pictures of it this weekend so that I can turn them in with my form that is due for the quilt to hang in the International Quilt Festival that will be in Cincinnati in April.
Yes, that is right, my quilt will be in an exhibit in the quilt show! At the show last year, the Ouilts, Inc people contacted the president of the Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild about the Guild having an exhibit in the show this year. We talked about it at meetings and finally came up with a challenge - A Modern Take on the Ohio Star Block. We had to have our quilts done by January 1 to send pictures in to get approval for the exhibit. This past week, we got forms to fill out and return next week with instructions on getting our quilts to them for hanging. Woot!!
That meant that I needed to get my rear in gear to get the quilt quilted! Hence the backing making and frame loading.
Here is what I have so far. A stipple in the black areas only. My camera is not good with this quilt because the star in this picture is the medium red.
Still a ways to go. UGH!!
I am really going to push and get this finished up tomorrow. Then, I can spend a little time cuddling with these guys.

How exciting! Your quilt looks great. Can't wait to see the finished product. The pups look cozy in their quilt and seem to be saying "hurry up Mom".
