On Saturday, I got a call while I was quilting that I won a $50 gift card to Lambikin's for shopping! Of course, I had to run up today and pick it up. What better way to end a retreat weekend?
And while I was there, I got a bit more yarn (purple this time) and some circular needles to make socks 2 at a time! And I figured that I would show off the baby cap that I finished on Sunday night. This makes #3 for the year.
While I was out, I decided to look for a kitchen scale to help with separating the 100g hanks and balls of sock yarn into 2 50g balls so that I can wind them on the ball winder and make 2 at a time socks. I also needed to find a cutlery tray to help separate my logs for the log cabin quilt.
I went to 2 different shops before decided to just go to WalMart. SCORE!! I found a scale for $4.50 and a tray for around $2 and a separate set of trays that will come in handy, too.
As I looked in neighboring aisles for anything else that might come in handy, I almost had to pick myself up off the floor! I saw an extra wide ironing board! Here's the back story... A few years ago for Christmas, I received an ironing board cover for an extra wide board. Of course, I didn't have an extra wide board. In looking at stores and online, they all looked to be at least $80 so I figured I would just end up with a cover that I wouldn't be able to use. Well, now I will be able to use it sooner or later!!!
I'm very excited that I can finally get rid of the old board! It was leaning an great deal in the last few months.. :(
When I got home, only Maisy greeted me at the door.
Maxie couldn't be moved! lol

Awesome deals! Happy girl! love ya! Michelle
Woo hoo! I'm not sure which would excite me more, the new yarn or the ironing board LOL. I'm definitely going to have to start hitting up the Walmarts around here for one of those ironing boards.
Ooohh, I like that ironing board...how much was it? Did they have lots? I may have to go treat myself.
